Delivery Locations

Manage the addresses where you want vendors to deliver your orders.

What Are Delivery Locations?

Delivery locations are saved addresses where suppliers deliver your orders. You can have multiple delivery locations for:
  • Different physical locations of your restaurant
  • Separate kitchens or prep areas
  • Off-site storage facilities
  • Catering venues
  • Any location where you receive deliveries

Viewing Delivery Locations

To view your delivery locations:
  1. Go to SettingsDelivery Locations
  2. View a list of all saved locations
  3. Each location shows:
    • Location name
    • Full address
    • Creation date

Adding a Delivery Location

To add a new delivery address:

Step 1: Open the Form

  1. Go to SettingsDelivery Locations
  2. Click Add Delivery Location or the + button
  3. The location form opens

Step 2: Enter Location Details

Fill in the address information:
  • Location Name (required): A name to identify this location
    • Example: “Main Restaurant”, “Prep Kitchen”, “Catering Warehouse”
  • Street Address (required): Street and number
  • City (required): City name
  • Postal Code (required): ZIP or postal code
  • Additional Details (optional):
    • Apartment/suite number
    • Building name
    • Access instructions
    • Loading dock information

Step 3: Save Location

Click Save or Add Location The delivery location is now saved and available for orders.

Editing a Delivery Location

To modify an existing location:
  1. Find the location in the list
  2. Click the edit button
  3. Update the details:
    • Change location name
    • Update address
    • Modify instructions
  4. Save your changes

Deleting a Delivery Location

To remove a delivery location:
  1. Find the location in the list
  2. Click the delete button
  3. Confirm deletion
Note: You can delete locations that are no longer used. Existing orders with that location are not affected.

Using Delivery Locations

When Placing Orders

When you place an order:
  1. Your basket will prompt for delivery location selection
  2. Choose from your saved locations
  3. The vendor will deliver to that address

Default Location

If you have one primary location:
  • It may be set as default
  • Orders automatically use this location
  • You can still change it per order

Delivery Location Best Practices

Naming

  • Be clear: Use names that everyone on your team understands
  • Include identifier: “Main Restaurant - Downtown” vs. just “Restaurant”
  • Specify purpose: “Prep Kitchen”, “Storage Facility”

Address Accuracy

  • Use complete addresses: Include street numbers, unit numbers
  • Add access instructions: Gate codes, loading dock details
  • Verify with vendors: Confirm they can find the location

Organization

  • Add all locations upfront: Set up all addresses you use regularly
  • Review regularly: Keep addresses current
  • Remove unused: Delete old locations to avoid confusion

Multi-Location Restaurants

If you operate multiple restaurant locations:
  • Each restaurant company/location can have its own delivery addresses
  • Switch between companies to manage location-specific addresses

Delivery Instructions

Include helpful information in location details:
  • Access: “Use loading dock on west side”
  • Timing: “Deliveries before 10 AM please”
  • Contact: “Call manager upon arrival”
  • Parking: “Parking available in rear”

Common Delivery Locations

Single Restaurant

  • Main restaurant address
  • Perhaps a storage facility

Multi-Unit Operation

  • Each restaurant location
  • Central commissary
  • Corporate office (for supplies)

Complex Operations

  • Main kitchen
  • Prep kitchen
  • Bakery
  • Storage warehouse
  • Catering facility

Tips for Success

  • Start complete: Add all delivery locations during initial setup
  • Keep current: Update addresses if you move or add locations
  • Be specific: Include all access details vendors need
  • Coordinate with team: Ensure everyone knows which location to use for which orders
  • Communicate with vendors: Confirm they have the correct addresses

Troubleshooting

Cannot Add Location

  • Verify all required fields are filled
  • Check address format
  • Ensure you have permissions
  • Try refreshing the page

Location Not Appearing in Order

  • Check you’re in the correct company/location context
  • Verify location was saved successfully
  • Refresh the order page

Vendor Cannot Find Location

  • Review address for accuracy
  • Add more specific instructions
  • Contact vendor to clarify
  • Update location details with better directions

Wrong Default Location

  • Edit location settings if default option exists
  • Or manually select correct location for each order
  • Check company settings for default delivery address

Integration with Orders

Delivery locations integrate with:
  • Order placement: Select location when ordering
  • Order history: View which location was used for past orders
  • Vendor communication: Vendors see the delivery address with order

Security and Privacy

  • Delivery locations are visible to vendors you order from
  • Only add locations where you want to receive deliveries
  • Keep access codes and security information current
  • Remove locations that are no longer in use
