Managing Companies
If you operate multiple restaurant locations, manage and switch between them in the Companies section.What Are Companies?
In Bestellfix, each restaurant location is considered a separate “company”. This allows:- Separate inventory for each location
- Location-specific vendors
- Independent ordering per location
- Distinct settings per restaurant
Viewing Your Companies
To view all your restaurant locations:- Go to Settings → Companies
- View a list of all restaurant locations you have access to
- Each company shows:
- Company name
- Location identifier
- Current status
Switching Between Locations
To switch to a different restaurant location:- Go to Settings → Companies
- Click on the restaurant location you want to switch to
- The system switches context to that location
- That location’s dashboard
- That location’s vendors
- That location’s inventory
- That location’s orders
Understanding Location Context
Each restaurant location has its own:- Vendors: Different suppliers per location
- Products: Each location may have different catalogs
- Inventory: Separate ingredients and recipes
- Storage Units: Location-specific storage
- Orders: Independent order history
- Delivery Locations: Location-specific addresses

Managing Location Settings
When you switch to a location, you can manage:- That location’s delivery addresses
- Location-specific account details
- Vendor connections for that location
- Inventory settings for that location
Adding New Locations
If you need to add a new restaurant location:- Contact Bestellfix support
- Provide new location details
- New company will be set up
- You’ll gain access to manage it
Best Practices
Clear Naming
- Use descriptive location names
- Include city or neighborhood: “Main Street - Boston”, “Downtown - Chicago”
- Avoid generic names
Consistent Management
- Check each location regularly
- Maintain similar processes across locations
- Document location-specific procedures
Data Separation
- Keep location data separate
- Don’t mix inventory between locations
- Order for each location independently
Regular Switching
- Review all locations daily (if managing multiple)
- Don’t neglect any location
- Set up a routine for checking each location
Troubleshooting
Cannot See All Locations
- Verify you have access to all locations
- Check with account administrator
- Ensure you’re logged into correct account
- Contact support if locations are missing
Wrong Location Active
- Check which company is currently selected
- Switch to the correct location
- Verify in settings or location indicator
Data Appearing in Wrong Location
- Confirm you’re viewing the correct company
- Check location context at top of screen
- Switch to proper location before working
Cannot Switch Locations
- Verify you have permissions for multiple locations
- Check internet connection

Location Indicator
Most pages show which location you’re currently managing:- Look for company name in header
- Location indicator in settings
- Context switcher accessible from many pages

Permissions
Different users may have access to different locations:- Owner: Access to all locations
- Manager: May be limited to specific locations
- Staff: Typically one location only
Reporting Across Locations
While data is separated by location:- You can manually compile reports across locations
- Export data from each location
- Combine in external tools (spreadsheets, etc.)
- Some reporting may aggregate across locations (depending on system features)
